The Chase Family Foundation was formed in early 2008, as a vehicle to fulfill a promise to God that Susan had made after the loss of her family. Prior to the foundation's formation, Susan endowed a scholarship fund for three autistic children at The Ozark Center of Autism in Joplin, Missouri. This became the inspiration for what would become the Chase Family Foundation.

During the first year of the foundation's existence, the foundation was responsible for over 21,000 meals in Northwest Arkansas through the Ozark Food Bank and Meals on Wheels. They also have helped several other charities including Faith in Action, The Northwest Arkansas battered Women's Shelter, The Seven Hills Homeless Shelter, and Pathfinders, Inc.

Susan has since been nominated for People Magazine's "Heroes Among Us", and hopes to grow her foundation so that she can help more people.
